Home in Time for a Wedding and Missing Belgian Friends.

The trip to Belgium has been great with memories that I love to look back on. The most important are the friends that we made in the process. There are also the places I never could have previously imagined seeing now imprinted in my mind. It has become a dream now fulfilled at this time of my life. I am left with a desire to go back to reconnect with friends that we made. For those that will read this you have made great impressions in my heart.
We arrived back home just in time to share the wedding of our son Lance to his beautiful bride, Aubri.

They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada on the first day of October. We arrived home on Thursday, September twenty-ninth at 11:00 PM. I think we got to bed around 1:30 AM. The time change made it hard to sleep very long. We drove to Salt Lake City Saturday morning to fly to Las Vegas. We arrived, got our rental car and checked into the Excalibur Hotel.

That evening Laurie's family came over to give us a surprise. Lindsy had been able to get a flight here for the wedding. It was truly a surprise because we didn't think she was going to come.

Aburi was stunning in her wedding gown.

Taylor was a little princess dressed  in a purple dress.

Most of both families were able to be present for the outdoor ceremony at a wedding chapel on the Las Vegas "strip." It did not last long but included the ceremony, vows, words of congratulations, pictures and amenities.

After the ceremony we got to have Taylor stay overnight with us. She was so cute the next morning. We had a great time with her before we left to come home.

Jet lag has been hard to recover from. It hasn't helped that the weather back home is cold and rainy as I predicted before we left Belgium. I think I am jinxed with the weather as my friend back in Belgium said it immediately warmed up after we left.
