We tried to catch up around "home" today. We also found that the youth did not show up to paint the house after all our work. We hope they find out what happened and get it done soon. Getting internet has continued to be a headache with a couple of refunds now due for services that did not work. We finally tried Quest and found that they could provide DSL for less than the other providers and without any time commitment or usage limits. The catch is that it will be another week before they have it hooked up. In the afternoon we went to visit a large antique mall near the park. That place was like a huge museum where you could touch and feel the exhibits. There was so much to see and such a variety on display that it would be impossible to explain but one could literally spend hours browsing around there. I did a quick once around in about an hour but Dad kept looking while I visited several nearby stores. We then did our trip to the nearby RV park to get internet, take care of business and talk to some of our family that were available at the time. We finished the day with a dip in the hot tub and a swim in the pool after dark again.

We enjoyed our second Sunday at the Goldfield Ward and had another surprise. One of Dad's first cousins, Richard Shappart, is in our ward and is staying in another RV park in the area. He is the son of Dad's Aunt Elaine and Uncle Marvin Shappart. Elaine is Dad's father's (Willis's) sister and she had passed away before Dad was born. Following Elaine's death, Marvin married Dad's father's first wife, Verna. There were two sons from Willis and Verna's marriage (Bill and Vernon). It was after Willis and Verna's marriage broke up that Dad's father married his mother (Arvilla). You might notice that Richad's father then became his uncle and his two cousins became his half-brothers. If you are confused don't feel lonesome. Perhaps because of the situation Dad was never close to the three Shappart cousins from Marvin and Elaine's marriage. We look forward to getting better acquainted with Richard and his wife in the weeks to come.
