Late Night Dancing on Centrum Deck 8
At St. Croix we docked at the port of Frederiksted. Each of the families went their own way and that evening we found that, ironically each of us had done nearly the same tour. Dad and I found a taxi driver offering a tour through the rain forest to the port town on the north side of the island called Christiansted. On the way through the rain forest we stopped at a place where they fed a pig beer where the pig both opened and drank. Dad and I sat that one out. We then proceeded on along the beautiful coastline to Christiansted where we had a couple of hours to look around. We shopped some, visited the marina and the historic Fort Christiansvaern on the harbor. On the return trip we stopped to tour the St. George Village Botanical Garden built on the ruins of an old Danish sugar cane plantation. Back on board we watched Laurie and Evan and Lindsy and Ben scale the climbing wall. All were successful with a couple of good screams from the girls as they descended rather quickly. After dinner there was a band in the ship Centrum playing 50's and 60's music. Dad and I danced on the 8th deck of the Centrum where our stateroom was located.
