Family Ties

Tue Mar 1
Ivan, Ruby, Milo Dad and I
Today is the first day of our last month here in the Countryside RV Park. The time is passing so quickly and there is so much to see and do and so little time. Maybe we will have to do this again next winter. This afternoon we met Dad's cousins, Ivan and Milo Walker and their Sister Ruby Hood for lunch at Olive Garden. You may recall that it was at Ivan's home in Queen Creek where he and Milo live that we spent Christmas time and then helped prepare the house for painting. That was going to be a youth service project which was postponed and is now supposed to occur this coming Saturday. Ruby lives in Chandler. After lunch we went out to the house in Queen Creek for a visit and to reminisce over family history while looking at their Mom's old photo album. Their Dad was killed in a mining accident here in Arizona when the three of them were very young. In the evening I went with our neighbor Gayle to a Relief Society social and Dad went to help out in the nursery with a bunch of over energetic kids while their Moms enjoyed the time together.
